GREYBULL POLICE DEPARTMENT

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR PEACE OFFICER

The Greybull Police Department is accepting applications for one Peace Officer position. The position will remain open until filled.

We are looking for motivated, dependable individuals who are committed to serving the community, protecting others, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

Previous law enforcement experience is not required. Qualified applicants will have the opportunity to pursue certification through the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Possess a valid Wyoming driver’s license
  • Be able to successfully pass a physical assessment
  • Successfully pass a written examination
  • Successfully complete an oral interview with the Greybull Police Department
  • Successfully pass a thorough background investigation
  • Successfully complete a medical examination by a physician
  • Successfully complete a psychological examination
  • Be eligible to become certified as a Peace Officer through the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy
  • Have no felony convictions
  • Be free from physical, emotional, or mental conditions that would adversely affect the applicant’s ability to perform the duties of a Peace Officer

PHYSICAL AGILITY TEST

Applicants must successfully pass the physical assessment required for Peace Officer certification.

Physical fitness standards are established by the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy.
